A Good Blender Makes it Easy to Make Healthy Natural Baby Food
Healthy natural baby food can easily be made at home in a variety of ways. Making your own healthy natural baby food will allow you to make sure that you are feeding your baby with healthy foods that are good for your baby and not filled with a bunch of fillers, artificial ingredients or preservatives. Any parent who wants the best for their child will be interested in making healthy natural baby food to ensure the best possible nutrition.
Personally, I’m super excited about making healthy natural baby food for Ava Kalea Kennedy (#AvaKalea). Using a great blender like Vitamix (which I currently sell) or a Blendtec (which I used to sell and currently have in my kitchen), making healthy and tasty baby food is a breeze.
Using fresh, healthy and organic foods including fruits, veggies, and even meats, a quality blender can help making healthy natural baby food a breeze. Many fruits like bananas, peaches, avocados, papaya, mangos, apples and pears can be used either fresh, frozen or steamed. Vegetables like sweet potatoes, peas, squash, carrots, green beans, spinach and corn can be used either fresh, frozen or canned. I prefer away to stay away from canned goods as much as possible, as they tend to contain a lot of preservatives and fillers that I don’t really care to have baby Ava Kalea eating (or anyone else I care about for that matter). It’s always better to eat fresh, unprocessed and ORGANIC foods whenever possible. You and your family are worth any extra cost or effort – YES YOU ARE!
You can even make healthy natural baby foods for your baby using cooked and boneless meats like chicken, turkey, beef, veal, lamb or pork. With meats like this, it is alway best to use meat from animals that are grass fed and are not fouled up with a bunch of steroids or other chemicals that we would not wish on our own worst enemies.
To make healthy natural baby food out of any of these ingredients is extremely simple: use 2 cups of the ingredient of your choice, add about 1/4 cup of water, or breast milk and blend for 20-30 seconds or to desired consistency. If it comes out a bit thick, simply add a little more water or breast milk and blend again. You can serve this healthy natural baby food immediately and then save the excess by freezing it in ice cube trays for later use. It’s really easy to take a fruit, veggie or meat ice cube out of the freezer to thaw out and feed your baby throughout the day.
There are a lot of places on the internet to find more ideas for healthy natural baby food, including Vitamix Baby Food Purees and Wholesome Baby Foods from Momtastic. Do you have any suggestions for making healthy natural baby food – or recipes that you’d like to share? I’d love to hear from you!
