Rest in Peace Deirdre Carroll

Rest in Peace Deirdre Carroll

Deirdre Carrolll
JULY 16, 1961 – JANUARY 5, 2019

This morning while aimlessly scrolling through Facebook, I learned that we have lost the amazing Deirdre Carroll. Condolences and positives vibes go out to Bill Hanot and their filmmaker daughter Cassidy Carroll.

While we were not close, we were friends and she was always so kind to me. One of my fondest memories of Deirdre was seeing her, Billy and Dean at one of the Further Festivals at Marymoor Park 9/18/10 in the pouring rain. We all hung out for most of the show and had a fantastic (and wet) time.

I don’t think I ever saw Deirdre again after that, but we did chat on Facebook a bit. I will always remember her awesome smile, contagious laugh and love of music. Rest in Peace my friend and know that you are already greatly missed.

Many good things are happening and I’m extremely excited about all the great possibilities for the rest of 2019 and beyond. During the first week of… Continue Reading

What is YOUR Personal Mantra?

What is YOUR Personal Mantra?

Today I get the awesome experience of having to exercise my patience and flexibility. Both need the exercise – badly. Last night when going to bed, my beautiful wife just happened to mention to me that her personal yoga instructor was coming over today. I asked her what time – she said “7”. In the… Continue Reading

New Year’s Eve 2018

New Year’s Eve 2018

Today is the last day of 2018 – a great day to celebrate and reflect on the past year – and the possibilities of the New Year. Last year our little family started a new tradition – feasting on a super tasty tri-tip from Seaside Market in Cardiff. This meat is infused through a “secret… Continue Reading

Stacia Kennedy in NW Asian Weekly Mother’s Day Article

Stacia Kennedy in NW Asian Weekly Mother’s Day Article

I was just googlin around and came across this Mother’s Day article from Northwest Asian Weekly.  My beautiful wife was quoted about her experience as being a young single mother after the birth of Makaya. It’s also interesting to note that my mother’s friend and former co-worker Akemi was also featured in the article. She’s… Continue Reading

So Very Thankful on Thanksgiving

I have taken up the daily habit of living with sincere gratitude for each and every day I wake up.  Thankfully, so far, I’ve waken up on this side of the dirt each and every day.  It sure beats the alternative. There are so many things for me to be thankful for, but the most… Continue Reading

Happy 15th Birthday Jacqueline Nataliya Kennedy

November 21st 2003 was undoubtedly one of the happiest days of my life.  I witnessed the birth of my first born – Jacqueline Nataliya Kennedy.  Jackie was born just up I-5 at Scripps Hospital in Encinitas.  Her mom was a champ and the entire staff was pretty awesome.  It was a great experience. Moving to SiteGround from HostGator: JoeKennedy.biz

Yesterday, I moved this site from hosting with Hostgator to more reliable webhosting with SiteGround.  I wrote an entire post about it, but apparently that was before the new settings could propagate, so that post is stuck with the old files and not worth the hassle of recovering. SiteGround has proven to be a much… Continue Reading
