Yesterday It’s All About the Kids Food Pantry in San Diego gave away over 29,000 pounds of food to 965 families in less than 4 hours! That means that over 4,600 people are eating this week thanks to this great organization!
Because of the current health crisis, the shelter in place order and declaration of a State of Emergency, many, many people have lost their jobs and way to earn a living – and do not have any way of feeding their children. It’s All About The Kids has seen rising numbers of the people they serve in the last couple of years, but in the past 30 days, the need has multiplied by 10X.
There are so many ways you can help: arrange a fundraiser, volunteer to help pack or deliver food – or volunteer your time and expertise.
I have chose It’s All About The Kids as the non-profit that I am going to be helping with my Salesforce.com skills by helping them get set-up with Saleforce’s NPSP – Non-Profit Success Pack. As part of that initiative, I will also be recruiting a team of tech and social media rockstars to donate their time to help the cause.
I’m looking for people with skills in media, video production and editing, photographers, a PR person (or firm), social media influencers, bloggers, fundraising pros and generally smart people who are willing to donate their time and skills for this worthy cause. If you are a Salesforce Administrator or Developer with experience with NPSP and are willing to guide and / or assist me – that would be super cool too!
If you are interested, please contact Joe ‘Salesforce’ Kennedy or the Co-Founder and President of It’s All About The Kids, Angela Brannon-Baptiste at Angela(at)ItsAllAboutTheKids.org.
