Thank God it’s Friday! That used to be the cheer of the 9-5 workforce … before Covid-19, the Great Pandemic (Plandemic?) and the Quarantine or Stay at Home Orders. After almost two months of being locked down, many of us have forgotten what day of the week it is. But indeed, it is Friday. And I am thankful.
I have so much to be thankful for – family, health, a place to live, clean water to drink and good food to eat.
We all have challenges, especially in these days when many of us have not been allowed to work and so many of us have lost our jobs forever. But it is much better to simply acknowledge these challenges, while focusing on all our many blessings, amazing opportunities and ability to adapt in a changing world.
Along with the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has brought – it has also brought many blessings. I have lost my job as a ride share driver and it will never come back the same. As a 55+ guy with a heart condition (AFIB), it will never been safe for me to drive around strangers (who constantly cough and sneeze on me) in a little Toyota Prius. The is indeed a challenge – but also an opportunity – an opportunity to decide on more rewarding work. More rewarding both spiritually and financially.
This lockdown has also given me an opportunity to work on overcoming some injuries from a (work-related) car accident back in October. This has been both good and bad. I had to put a hold on physical therapy, acupuncture and many doctors appointments. I’ve been able to do many of my PT exercise at home, but unfortunately been suffering from daily headaches for over two months. Both the neurologist and pain management specialist doctors seemed to have agreed on a course of action and I am looking forward to getting the treatment that will hopefully lead me back to a healthier, more normal life again.
As far as work, despite my lack of ability to focus (because of the constant headaches), I’ve continued my training towards becoming a Certified Salesforce Administrator – and possibly starting an online business that can be run from anywhere during a future lockdown (which I have no doubt will happen when Donald Trump is reelected.
I do have a number of online business ideas and a bunch of web domains (some of which used to get some decent web traffic). One of my challenges is that I need to decide if I want to focus on Good News like at GoodNewsUninc.com or if I am indeed a Conspiracy Theorist and need to start a website tracking, explaining and decoding posts from Q at QAnon.pub (whoops – did my website just get delisted by the censorship of Google …?).
