Washington State Wine

Washington State is The New Epicenter of Wine. The accolades are there – and now Washington State Wine is taking a new, innovative approach to spread the word with fresh advertising and bold messaging. The new campaign is launching in August for Washington State Wine Month as part of an effort to raise excitement about the quality and culture of the region.

“Washington State has what it takes to compete with – and win – against anybody in the world,” said Steve Warner, President of Washington State Wine, “and it’s time to take our justifiable place on the global stage.”

Restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries are banding together to support Washington State Wine Month in various ways. The wine month website features a calendar of promotions, including winemaker dinners, discounts at local wineries and restaurants, special tasting events and more. On the website also lives a Tagboard, which automatically aggregates social media posts to pull even more specials, promotions and other social activity in one place. Anyone can participate in #WAWineMonth by interacting with @Wa_State_Wine on social media channels.

“Washington State Wine Month is a great way to support our local wine industry and raise excitement about the state as a whole,” Warner said.

Washington State Wine will also run a large advertising campaign to generate roughly 32.5 million impressions from August through October. Organizers hope that combined efforts will support local restaurants and retailers, and also bring in additional opportunities through direct-to-consumer channels. All of the activity is designed to encourage the support of local winemakers and farmers.

According to Warner, “we look forward to telling our stories to prove to consumers and trade alike why Washington State is the New Epicenter of Wine.”
