Culture Amp, the people analytics platform for data-driven insights on employee engagement and company culture, announced today that it has closed a $10 million Series B round. The round was led by Index Ventures with participation by Felicis Ventures and Blackbird Ventures. The funding will be used to launch advanced analytics features on the Culture Amp platform, and finance the company’s expansion into the U.K. and Europe, with an office opening in London this month. Ilya Fushman, General Partner at Index Ventures will join Culture Amp’s board of directors.

“A deep understanding of employee engagement is essential to building great global businesses and Culture Amp’s products allow companies to keep their finger on the pulse of their organizations,” said Index Ventures Partner Ilya Fushman. “Having seen first-hand the positive impact of their data-driven approach at Dropbox, as well as their phenomenal growth among leading retail, hospitality, media and professional services clients, I am excited to be an investor and see Culture Amp’s impact on employee happiness.”

Since its Series A funding in early 2015, Culture Amp has more than tripled in size, and continued to win some of the world’s most innovative companies such as Greenhouse, Slack, and Namely, adding to existing clients Airbnb, Etsy, Eventbrite, Pinterest and Warby Parker.

“We are making sophisticated people analytics not only accessible, but effective, for all companies,” said Culture Amp CEO and co-founder Didier Elzinga. “Companies don’t just need more data – they need the right data, and we are building the industry’s leading platform for collecting and connecting relevant insights to understand what drives their people and culture.”

Elzinga said the funding would be used to focus on launching new products and expanding into other markets.

“It might not come as a surprise given what we do, but our competitive advantage is our people, both at Culture Amp and the almost 20,000 People Geeks we talk to every week.”
