The inaugural Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair is scheduled to take place this August 13-14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem Oregon, according to the event’s producer, Mary Lou Burton.

The event will display live plants from more than 200 of the state’s premier cannabis growers, who will compete for awards, including $10,000 in prizes and a feature in DOPE magazine.

“This show is created for any grower already in the industry or someone looking to join our state’s fastest-growing industry,” Burton said. “Whether you are licensed to grow thousands of plants or just a few at home, this is the show for you.”

Developed as an opportunity to bring together the industry under one roof to learn from “master growers,” the Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair will serve to share ideas, new technology, review rules and regulations, learn about testing and much more about this new and “budding” industry that is growing at rapid speed, Burton said.

Highlights of the Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair include

  • More than 100 exhibitors representing everything from hydroponics to marketing
  • OLCC’s overview of final rules and regulations regarding cannabis production and sales
  • Information on energy- and money-saving technology
  • A hands-on demonstrations with a mini-grow
  • All the latest cannabis growing technology

The Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair is produced by the Cannabis Collaborative Conference and the Oregon Cannabis Business Counci. Admission is $20 to the general public, 21 years of age and older.  Local Business Scoop will have a media representative at the event to report on the Oregon Cannabis Growers Fair and let our readers know about the latest trends and what sets Oregon marijuana growers apart from their colleagues in Washington, Colorado and California.
