Chandler’s Crabhouse, a Schwartz Brothers Restaurant, has announced Chandler’s Crabfest and limited edition menu. From Wednesday, April 19, through Memorial Day weekend, diners can celebrate spring in Seattle with ten featured items $40 and under, five different types of crab and 12 new crab preparations.
Famed this April as one of Wine Spectator’s top 12 seafood restaurants in the nation, Chandler’s Crabhouse is well known to locals as an iconic seafood establishment home to the “world’s best” crab cake. Following this tradition, Chef Thomas Cullen has crafted a menu elevating each highlighted crab’s distinctive flavors and texture; Crabfest’s limited time spring specials range from locally familiar Dungeness and King to Bairdi, soft-shell and Blue Lump crab.
“For Crabfest we’re featuring five types of crab in dishes that let the full flavors of this unique, succulent meat take the spotlight,” said Cullen. “Combined with our unmatched waterfront seating and views, this spring festival is a perfect time to indulge on our waterfront terrace. No cracking required.”
Appetizer specials for Crabfest will include crispy soft shell crab with chili lime garlic sauce, crab cocktail trio with Dungeness, Blue Lump, Bairdi and King crab, accompanied with cocktail sauce and lemon oil, Alaskan Crab deviled eggs with microgreens and King and Bairdi crab, Blue Lump crab cake with Dijon mustard aioli and crab stuffed mushrooms with snipped chives and beurre blanc.
Chandler’s three new steamer pots will available only through Crabfest. All steamer pots include Chandler’s famous Dungeness crab in pots with a medley of andouille sausage, baby red potatoes, and corn on the cob. The Alaskan steamer includes Dungeness, Bairdi and King crab in a rich broth, The Ragin’ Cajun boasts a pairing of crawfish and crab in a spice-laden broth and The Northwest pot showcases the region’s tried and true Penn Cove mussels and Manila clams.
