Seabrook Launches It’s Own South of Market Neighborhood

Seabrook SOMA homeSeabrook, Washington’s beach town, has announced the launch of the highly anticipated South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood. SOMA will feature 35 single-family residences of varying sizes in one of the most sought-after locations within the burgeoning seaside village. Nestled between Seabrook’s captivating oceanfront neighborhoods, a sprawling new park space and Seabrook’s vibrant retail center, SOMA is a perfect blend of coastal relaxation and urban convenience.

“With its location adjacent to the Town Center and beach trails, SOMA is the perfect neighborhood to call home,” said Casey Roloff, town founder and developer. “For the first time, Washington’s beach town will have a downtown feel, while retaining its focus on nature and community.”

The first phase of the SOMA neighborhood includes 11 coastal craftsman-inspired homes with charming covered porches and views of Seabrook’s Town Center, Town Green; many with filtered views of the rugged Washington coastline and Seabrook’s meandering Elk Creek. Starting at $545,000, the homes range from approximately 1,040 to 2,040 square feet, with two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans. Many homes back to a pristine conservation area and the Elk Creek Trail, providing peaceful, forested privacy and an easy walk to the beach.

The first 11 homes within SOMA are now available for purchase. As with all Seabrook neighborhoods, SOMA will include a community gathering space, the Town Green park.  Town Green will be a favorite destination for SOMA homeowners and guests as well as all Seabrook visitors due to its exceptional sunset, beach and ocean vistas. The Town Green park will include a sprawling lawn for picnics, a community fire pit and a natural children’s play area.   In addition to the Town Green, SOMA homeowners and guests will enjoy a smaller neighborhood pocket park and a short, easy trail to the beach.

SOMA’s homes are just steps away from the ocean and the community’s expanding Town Center.  At the heart of the Town Center is Market Street, Seabrook’s shopping and dining street.  Market Street includes beautifully designed townhomes with living spaces on the upper floors and individual merchants on the street level.  The expansion of the Town Center will add even more unique locally owned and operated businesses to the Seabrook experience with approximately 50,000 SF of retail and restaurants upon completion.

Nestled into the natural beauty of the Washington Coast, Seabrook’s focus has always been on green building and sustainable living.  Natural and high-quality materials, including native cedar, are used to capture the essence of the Washington Coast. Responsibility for the environment is paramount in Seabrook. Homes and buildings feature sustainable, naturally-preserved materials, as well as energy efficient appliances, fences made from recycled wood, and walking paths made of local crushed oyster. These concepts create a healthy environment while protecting and sustaining the coastal ecosystem.

Seabrook’s town plan covers 350 acres or nearly one square mile of land.  With approximately 350 homes already completed, Seabrook is a well-established community of individually owned homes.  Homeowners at Seabrook can choose to place their homes in the Seabrook Cottage Rentals Program, which allows them to offset the cost of ownership.  For guests, Seabrook offers a bustling and popular year-round cottage rental experience.
