TechCity Bowl to Celebrate 60 Years on Saturday – Everyone is Invited!

TechCity BowlTechCity Bowl, Kirkland Washington’s premier independent bowling center, is celebrating its 60th anniversary on Saturday, August 11th, 2018 between the hours of 12PM and 6PM.
The public is invited to join the celebration which will be held at the bowling center located at 13033 NE 70th Place in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Kirkland.  During the event we will be rolling back bowling pricing and featuring $1 game and $1 shoes.  We will have local spirit and brewery tastings, as well as offering small bites of our new food menu.  So bring the family, grab some friends and come join the fun.

Airman Charles Heitz serves with the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, Florida.
Undesignated airmen have the opportunity to be assigned to different types of job fields until they choose their final job.
Heitz credits success in the Navy with lessons learned growing up in Kirkland.
“I learned how to work with people and get along with others,” said Heitz.
NAS Pensacola, “The Cradle of Naval Aviation” is best known as the initial primary training base for all U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard officers pursuing designations as Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers.
Once these service members finish training they are deployed around the world putting their skill set to work flying jets from aircraft carriers, submarine-hunting helicopters, serving as aircrew operating sophisticated radar and weapons systems, electronic warfare and more. Operating on land, air, or sea, they represent the best of operational and training support. Kirkland Summerfest Promises to Be Bigger and Better Than Ever!

Kirkland Summerfest 2018Building a community one smile at a time or bringing back the good ole Moss Bay Days?  Kirkland Summerfest is coming to Kirkland’s waterfront August 10-12 and brings back memories of the great Moss Bay Days festival that Kirkland used to host (before it started getting out of hand and was permanently cancelled).

Kirkland Summerfest is back and better than ever! Kirkland Summerfest is a three-day music+arts fest with incredible live performances, outdoor entertainment venues, purveyors of delicious foods, local beers, wines and family focused arts and entertainment. 

This year will be bigger and better than ever! Summerfest is excited to expand our family-centric activities to the KidZone at Heritage Park. Kirkland Summerfest is a perfect weekend full of celebration and joy.

The festival will also offer spectacular entertainment including KEXP favorites on the Main Stage in the beer garden. Summerfest is proud to present a fantastic lineup including The Dusty 45s, Nite Wave, The Black Tones and Creme Tangerine. Be sure to explore our expanded Art Fair presented by ryan james fine arts, bouncy toys and rides at the 11 acre KidZone at Heritage Park, the all new Create Zone at Heritage Hall, Beer Yoga and Beer Zumba presented by Columbia Athletic Club, shopping and food at the Street Fair presented by Evergreen Health, and of course, local beer, wine, and cocktails in the Beer Garden.

Economic Development Partners Travel to Washington, D.C. to Recruit Foreign-Owned Companies to the Greater Seattle Region

They will join the Washington State Department of Commerce in promoting Washington State, and in particular Seattle-King County, as a great place for international companies to do business and grow jobs.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit, scheduled for June 18-20, 2017, is driven primarily by the US Department of Commerce and other federal government agencies as a premier venue for US economic development organizations to share investment opportunities directly with international investors. DBM Contractors Inc., Completes Excavation Support System at Kirkland Urban

DBM installed excavation Support System at Kirkland UrbanDBM Contractors, Inc. has completed the installation of the excavation support system for Kirkland Urban, an 11.5-acre mixed-use development adjacent to Peter Kirk Park in Kirkland Wash. When completed in November 2018, the first phase will include more than 390,000 square feet in two office towers, 140,000 square feet of retail space and more than 1,700 parking spaces. A 50,000-square-foot QFC grocery store will anchor the retail space. Phase one will also include a 185-unit residential building.
