Bellevue-based Atigeo, a compassionate technology company and developer of the xPatterns big data analytics platform, recently announced the appointment of Alejandro Cabrera as chief marketing officer. In this newly created position, Cabrera will be responsible for marketing, advertising, brand management, and public relations.

Cabrera brings extensive expertise in brand management, marketing strategy, positioning strategy, and public relations to Atigeo. For the last three years, he served as corporate vice president of corporate marketing, brand and communication for Bellevue-based Outerwall, overseeing corporate marketing functions for the Outerwall brand as well as Redbox, Coinstar, and ecoATM brands.

Prior to joining Outerwall, Cabrera spent three years at ZYNGA in San Francisco as director of brand management and head of employee engagement. He previously spent five years with Microsoft as group product marketing manager for the Xbox global marketing division and two years with Amazon in product management.
Cabrera holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and international relations from Boston University. He also served eight years in the United States Marine Corps.
