Yesterday was supposed to be the start of the first ever “Challenge Group” that I was putting together for my new online fitness coaching business. I did a terrible of promoting it, recruiting for it, preparing for it – I just did a terrible job. Very few people showed any interest – and they are all already involved in the business. I felt like I had to cancel – and did.
I have all these perfect excuses why I did not do the work …. I’m busy (just like you – we all have 24 hours in a day ..) I’m a stay at home dad of a very active 20 month old Ava Kalea who wears me out every day. I get up at an ungodly hour nearly every single day trying to hustle to make a few bucks so I can buy groceries pay child support for my other daughter Jacqueline. I’m currently in mediation regarding visitation with Jacqueline, whose mother has not allowed me to see since I got remarried over 2.5 years ago. I’m exhausted. Constantly.
Still the same – those are just excuses. And I don’t choose to make them. I am very grateful for everything in my life – including all these could be excuses. The truth is I did not make the challenge group a priority – like I have my personal fitness. You see, nothing is going to get in the way of me getting my workout(s) in. Most days I get in 2x plus the exercise of even the most active people I know. I have been very consistent with my workouts and fairly consistent with my eating (I’ve even started eating broccoli and cauliflower) – although admittedly have had some recent challenges with the consumption of vast quantities of peanut butter and occasionally too many protein shakes ….
I take pride in my own fitness and how I have been a role model for my beautiful wife. (Did you see how much she’s transformed since we first started seeing each other?)
Can you tell how much happier she is? I can tell you that she definitely has A LOT more energy and is more fun to be around. And the most important part is that she is much, much healthier. And that makes me happy.
I very much want to help others get healthier and happier. I am committed to improving my focus on the best ways to accomplish that and know that my next Challenge Group is going to be EPIC. If you would like to be a part of it, or know someone else who can use some help toward becoming the best version of themselves, please comment here – or contact me.
I know you will make sharing with others the knowledge and tools you have with others a priority as you have made myself and our kids. Love you!
