Google launches Google Express, a fast delivery service, in Seattle
Today, Google is expanding the Google Express service to a large portion of the Northwest and Southeast: Kentucky, Utah, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Now, over 70 million more people will have access to two-day delivery shopping at stores like Costco, Whole Foods Market, PetSmart, Kohl’s and more – right from their mobile phones or laptops.
Since first launching Google Express, Google has worked alongside retailers to help people get the items they use every day. Google Express makes it easy for shoppers to get the things they need in one convenient place, from multiple stores, giving them more time back in their week for the activities they love.
“Our goal with Google Express is to offer a great shopping experience and connect people with their favorite stores,” said Brian Elliott, General Manager of Google Express. “Today, we’re very excited to be further expanding our efforts — making it easy for millions in the Seattle area and the entire state of Washington to get things they need from stores they love — delivered fast.”
Starting on October 25th, shoppers in Seattle will have two options to enjoy delivery from their favorite local retailers through Google Express:
- Membership for $95/ year
- Pay-as-you-go: as low as $4.99 per order
