San Diego – based Qualcomm Incorporated recently announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI), is launching its vulnerability rewards program designed to expand collaboration with invited white hat hackers who improve the security of the Qualcomm Snapdragon family of processors, LTE modems and related technologies. The program is the first of its kind to be announced by a major silicon vendor, and will be administered in collaboration with vulnerability coordination platform HackerOne, offering rewards of up to $15,000 USD per vulnerability as well as recognition in either the QTI Product Security or the CodeAuroraForum Hall of Fame, depending on the nature of the submission. The Dexcom One Step Ahead Foundation: A Dexcom Employees Foundation, has awarded its first grants to five public charity organizations dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes. Grants were awarded to the following organizations: the American Youth Understanding Diabetes Abroad (AYUDA), College Diabetes Network, DiabetesSisters, Riding On Insulin, and Type-1-Today/Children with Diabetes (CWD). The grants were awarded by the employee-funded philanthropy, launched three months ago by Dexcom employees passionate about doing more for the diabetes community.
Grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 were awarded to projects aimed at producing the most sustained benefits to the health and quality- of-life for people living with diabetes in the United States. Funds to support the grants were generated through Dexcom employee contributions and fundraising efforts, as well as support from others outside of Dexcom. WHISTLER, BC November 18, 2016 – Whistler Mountain will begin operations for the 2016.17 winter season one day ahead of schedule on Wednesday, November 23. The head start has been made possible by recent colder temperatures and natural snowfall at lower elevations over the past week. Blackcomb Mountain will open as scheduled on Thursday, November 24.

EvoNexus, pro-bono, non-profit technology incubator and hub for Southern California’s entrepreneurial and startup community, has announced its newest class of technology startups. EvoNexus has admitted 15 new startups to their southern California locations in La Jolla, Downtown San Diego and Irvine. The newly admitted startups will be joining a portfolio of 162 companies that have incubated at EvoNexus. The incubator was founded in late 2009 and the first class of companies was fully operational in 2010. In just over 6 years, startups that have been incubated at EvoNexus have raised over $1.077 billion in funding and outcomes and 17 startups have been acquired. Komen San Diego 3-Day is a 60-mile, three-day journey of support, hope and encouragement for those who want to end breast cancer forever.
