Two of the Funniest Things I Have Ever Seen

Today I was offline for most of the day working on the remodel of my home office (thanks to my brother Mike who did a lot of work on it today, as well as my step father Jim Braden and friend Rick Hubbert who have also donated their time to the project) – but I did have the opportunities to witness two of the most amusing things I have ever seen.  I wish I could have taken pictures, or even better, video, but they happened so fast I didn’t have a chance.

Have you ever seen a suicide squirrel?  Many times they will start running across the road, only to realize cars are coming and then head back (sometimes too late).  The squirrel I saw today started across a heavily four lane Main Street in downtown Bellevue.  It barely made it across the first three lanes and continued on to the fourth.  It ran in front of a car whose criminal driver (talking with cell phone to his ear) didn’t even notice him, the squirrel hesitated for a brief second under the car and then continued running between the two tires on the passenger side.  Thankfully he made it across the street without accomplishing his suicide mission, much to the amusement of at least a couple pedestrians and any drivers who were paying attention.

The other funny I saw today, was Jackie Kennedy‘s new bunny Ritz, continually trying to mate with Nicole, one of Jackie’s chickens.  Not sure either of them knew what was going on, but it was definitely something I had never seen before.  For Nicole’s safety, Ritz now lives in a separate cage.  He definitely needs a girl friend …
