The first day of June is nearly over here in Bellevue, but I can already tell that this is going to be a great month (although the weather still is not looking very encouraging).
I’ve been told I am going to soon be getting a listing of a nice home in Kirkland from some long time clients who I recently helped purchase a home on Evergreen Point in Medina. I’m looking forward to helping them price their Kirkland home right and sell it to another nice family who will enjoy it – so that my clients can get to fully enjoy their new Medina home. If you subscribe to (and read) this blog, you will undoubtedly be reading more about this in the coming weeks.
I’m also looking forward to the challenges and enjoying the benefits of some personal changes I’ve committed to making this month – including some things I’m going to be doing more of (exercising, blogging, eating better and more) and some things I’m going to be doing less of (including watching television, negative thinking, spending too much time on Facebook and Twitter, amongst other things).
One of the things I have pledged to do this month is to better recognize some of the extra special people I always seem to come in contact with through my daily activities, family, networking (including Eastside Entrepreneurs), living in Bellevue and through my real estate business.
Today I met one of the most interesting people I have talked to in some time. His name is Chris Sidebotham and I was fortunate to be able to spend over an hour speaking to him about a variety of subjects. Chris is a very smart guy and loves to solve problems. One thing that he told me today will probably turn out to be life changing: Did you know that you can tell a lot about a person by their blood type? Did you know that people with different blood types have different dietary needs? I didn’t know it either (had never heard of this), but it appears that there is a great deal of factual information available on the subject. There is even a book called Eat Right for Your Type, written in 1996 by Naturopathic Physician Peter D’Adamo. After a brief search (with much more research to be done in the near future), I found that an article on eHow.com contributed by James Dryden says that people who have blood type B+ like myself should avoid eating chicken amongst other things.
What may be even more surprising is to learn how I met Chris Sidebotham: he is a top notch Mercedes Benz mechanic who owns The Mercedes Specialists. Those who have lived or worked in Bellevue for more than a few years, will probably remember Chris’s shop that occupied the southeast corner of Bellevue Way NE and NE 4th Street in downtown Bellevue (where Safeway is now). I was referred to Chris by my friend Mike who manages Barney and Al’s Chevron station just down the street and had called him to do some much over do maintenance on my old S500. I was very happy I did – the bill was reasonable, his work was great – and I learned some things that I had never before thought of.
I’ve got much more to write and will continue tomorrow, but will stop now so I can get this posted by midnight and make sure that I get my post of the day on the books. I hope you enjoy – and, as always, welcome and encourage your comments. BTW – If you need any work done on your Mercedes, I fully recommend Chris and Mercedes Specialists – he can be reached at (425) 454-2937 (and he’ll pick up and drop off your car for you!). Tell him Joe sent you!
