Today I held the first Open House for my listing in Kirkland at 11315 NE 103rd Street in Kirkland. Although I didn’t yet get an offer, I think it turned out pretty well – definitely worth the time and effort!
It started out slow, with no visitors during the first hour, but I soon had the opportunity to meet a very nice neighbor who was very sad to learn that her neighbors of 10 year had moved (although happy for them to hear they had purchased a home in Medina). I took her through the newly remodeled house and she commented that she couldn’t see how anyone in the market for a home in Kirkland would not be interested right away.
We had a nice talk about the neighborhood and local real estate market and before leaving she asked for my business card and a flyer for the house – she knows of a young couple looking for a home on the Eastside that she wants to refer to me!
During the next two hours, I had one gentleman and five couples tour the house – most of those who had specifically singled out this house to view as a top priority.
The last couple to come through were very nice and interesting (and very interested in the house). They had just moved to the area for employment – he is going to work for Bing at Microsoft and she is working for Google in Kirkland.
It was indeed a good day and it gave me the feeling that I will be able to help sell this home very quickly. If you know someone looking to buy a house in the Kirkland Highlands, Kirkland or the Eastside, this might be one they want to consider. Have them give me a call at (425) 213-4176 – but do it soon while it is still available.
