I usually don’t like to write about myself much, but was just updating my profile on Zillow and wrote the following for the About section (I guess I was a little proud of myself):
Joe “The Connector” Kennedy is the Managing Broker of AAA Properties and Real Estate Advisor to the Stars and Future Stars of Bellevue, Washington and surrounding areas. You can read his real estate blog and contribute to the conversation about Eastside Real Estate at JoeKennedy.biz.I grew up in Bellevue, attending Clyde Hill, Ashwood (now the site of the Bellevue Regional Library, and Enatai Elementary schools, Bellevue Junior High (now the site of Bellevue’s Downtown Park) and Bellevue High School before moving on to the University of Washington.
My current home is also in Bellevue, just two short blocks from the house my family owned when I was in high school. I really love the way Bellevue has grown up, become a real, vibrant City and am especially happy with the growing diversity of our area.
My daughter, Jacqueline Kennedy is just finishing up kindergarten at Puesta del Sol, which is part of the Spanish language immersion program in the Bellevue School District. Spanish is her third language, as her mother is from Kiev, Ukraine and she has been raised speaking Russian as her first language.
Besides my daughter, real estate is my number one passion. I really love being able to help people buy and sell property or help with any real estate challenges they have.
In a former life, I was the Publisher of Eastside Business and Bellevue Business Journal newspapers and still own the BellevueBusinessJournal.com andIamEastside.com news sites.
I founded the Eastside Entrepreneurs Online Social Network in October 2008 and we have over 1,900 members – mostly local business owners and managers (although we accept EVERYBODY). We hold regular business networking events all over the Eastside. As you might imagine, I have met A LOT of wonderful people and have had the honor of being able to make many introductions and connections between people and their businesses. That’s why people call me “The Connector”. Being a former print publisher, I have found that I reach many, many more people online and through social media and really enjoy it (and love to use it in my real estate business).
It’s my firm belief that we should all give back to our communities in every way possible, which is why I donate 10% of all my real estate earnings to local service groups and charity organizations. My favorites include: Bellevue Boys and Girls Club (where I sort of grew up), Eastside Domestic Violence Program,Hopelink, Mama’s Hands and Overlake Service League. When anyone is kind enough to refer me a client, I donate 10% of all commissions earned from that client to the client’s choice of charity and in their name. Please help me continue to help support our communities by sending me your real estate referrals!
