I just realized that it is one month until I finally get to cut my hair – I wanted to do it a couple of months ago, but have been convinced to wait so that we can plan The Mane Event on Main – a celebration and party, benefit event where people can watch my hair come off – donate theirs (if it is 10-12″ in length, support the work of Overlake Service League which has been helping struggling families and at-risk youth in Bellevue for 99 years. It should be noted that the event will be held April 21st, 5-8pm at Flint Men’s Grooming on Main Street in Bellevue and everyone is welcome. We are currently looking for donations of food & wine, as well as goods and services to be given away in a fund raising raffle to benefit OSL. Please help if you can.
If you happen to know of someone with long hair who would be willing to donate, that would be great. I’d like to have at least a few people join in and donate their hair.
There are a few things that I want to do in the next 30 days while I still have long hair. I think I will be attempting to make a short video each day counting down to the event. I want to make sure there is plenty (more) video evidence that at one point I did have long hair. I’ll probably share a few stories about my experience during the last 32 months.
