After 32 months of growing hair for the benefit of disadvantaged children with medical challenges and Locks of Love (Seattle Children’s Hospital‘s recommended hair charity), my daughter Jackie Kennedy and I harvested the hair this afternoon. If you did not see it live, you can see a video of it here.

Still, you are handsome, just clean-cut. If you miss it, from time to time, you can sport a wig. Your big heart for social equity and community organizing must be satisfied in your ‘next big opportunity.
Oh – you are so kind Charlene!
One of my friends said “Why did you let them cut you like that?” and then “but it’s not that bad ….”
Wuu-Hoo! It has been a long hair haul, Joe! You are a model for social consciousness and a new way to look at the little things we can do to help others.
I look forward to your next project…
With Eyes to the Future… Dawn
Thank you for your kind words and support Dawn!
I too am looking forward to my next project. A couple of things for sure: it will be enjoyable and make a difference!
