Yesterday, through my friends at Fresh Consulting (who are also my co-producers in the upcoming Social Media 201 Conference at Microsoft), I applied for a position as a Community Engagement Manager for Microsoft Hohm, which is currently still in Beta. This would be a great position for me, as I really love building and engaging a community – and that I have a real ‘thing’ for being green, saving energy and being kind to our Mother Earth. I’m really hoping I get a chance for the role.This morning I was looking at the Mashable jobs listings and came across a listing for a Community Manager for Demand Studios. It’s in Santa Monica (and I love LA) and seems like it would also be a great opportunity. They are looking for someone with my experience, work ethic and passion for social media and it might be a great fit.
Demand Studios is part of Demand Media – “The Leader in Social Media”. They have a lot of great brands that they own and operate – including LiveStrong.com which is the result of their work with Lance Armstrong and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. LiveStrong.com is the home of the Web’s most extensive library of health, fitness and nutrition videos and articles and gets over 47 million page views a month!
